The Product Engineering team is responsible for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and optimization of the software solutions that make up Cyara portfolio. Members of a development team gather product requirements from Product Management and turn them into working software that satisfies market needs which customers use to solve their specific problems.

The Senior Scrum Master with the Product Engineering team is a change leadership role, where you will work with the entire organisation to help deliver business value frequently and with quality. You will be expected to champion industry-accepted best practices in Scrum and other Agile approaches throughout the business, working across several teams as part of a globally distributed, multi-team engineering department.

You will have excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques. You’ll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects with your mind set on deliverables. If you’re a strong communicator, a capable leader and you’re invested in Agile frameworks, we’d like to meet you.

You will be responsible for:

    • Leading several teams as part of a distributed multi-team Agile release cycle.
    • Coaching and leading new and existing teams that focus on continuous improvement and self-management
    • Imbedding cultural and process changes into the business by education and leading by example
    • Coordinating Sprints ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
    • Helping teams apply Scrum and other agile frameworks.
    • Planning deliverables and helping teams improve performance.
    • Resolving issues that hinder the teams’ work.
    • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
    • Working with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
    • Resolving conflicts and removing obstacles that occur.
    • Helping teams implement changes effectively.
    • Guiding teams to higher Scrum maturity through continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Work with other Scrum Masters to share findings, align processes, and uplift Agile processes across the business
    • Reporting on team and individual performance metrics.
    • Championing ongoing Agile process improvements.
    • Managing escalations and defect resolutions.
    • While this position does not require participation in an official on-call roster, Engineering employees are expected to be available to assist with troubleshooting Severity 1 or Severity 2 production issues as they arise. If contacted, employees should be prepared to respond and provide support, leveraging their domain knowledge and skills to resolve critical incidents.

Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:

    • Eight plus years of experience in software development with five or more years of Scrum Master experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. 
    • Experience coaching and leading existing teams through successive change cycles and introducing and integrating new teams into existing processes 
    • Previous coaching and training experience would be beneficial 
    • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile best practices. 
    • Proven track record leading distributed Scrum teams  
    • Experience scaling Agile in an engineering organisation of fifty software engineers or more. 
    • Prior experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.…) on enterprise-scale projects. 
    • Sufficient technical background to accurately and objectively evaluate complex program and project risks and technical issues. 
    • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills. 
    • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability with outstanding organizational skills. 
    • An applicable qualification in Agile or Project Management (i.e. APMG, PMI, ICP)
