This full-time, long-term opportunity offers flexibility with a hybrid/remote work setup based in Irvine, CA.

About the Role:
As a Senior Back-End Service Engineer, you’ll join the Online Products team, where you’ll design, develop, and enhance scalable e-commerce services that support a global gaming community. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with talented teams, and make a direct impact on the gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and modify e-commerce services to support millions of global users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot performance across critical environments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to product, design, and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure reliable live services for game teams and platform partners.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing back-end services, with a strong focus on Java.
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with high-concurrency live services, and expertise in implementing security best practices.
• Familiarity with various API design styles (RPC, REST, GraphQL) and microservices/n-tier architectures.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience in software testing practices and a clear understanding of their impact on product development.

• Experience with the Spring Framework and integrating services across teams.
• Familiarity with server infrastructure, particularly in AWS (e.g., CodeDeploy, SQS, Lambdas).
• Experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
• Knowledge of front-end development with React or Node.js.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and have a minimum assignment length of 10 weeks.
