Job Description

ByteDance's Development Infrastructure Team in Seattle is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain the development services that power their products. You'll be involved in creating Cloud IDE, code hosting platform, large scale build backends, and high-performance CI/CD systems for over 20,000 developers. This role also involves developing staging environments for platforms like TikTok, Ads, and Shopping, ensuring high volume traffic handling and tight security controls. You'll work on continuous improvements to the underlying infrastructure, focusing on maintainability, automation, and high availability.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of industry experience
Experience with Java, Objective-C, Python, or Golang
Experience in development tools and infrastructure

We are looking for engineers who have good programming language work experience and background to join our team. You will be part of a team that's developing new solutions to new challenges of a kind not previously addressed by big tech: - Build development infra including Cloud IDE, code hosting platform, large scale build backends and ultra high qps CI/CD systems for 20k+ developers to use on daily basis - Build staging environment for TikTok, Ads, Shopping to enable internal users to experiment code changes. You will need to handle challenges of high volume traffic and tightest security control -Continuous tuning of the underlying basic components, to improve the maintainability and automation of the infrastructure, to ensure high availability of business

Qualifications

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $177688 - $266000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match. In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care. ​
