At PayPal, we believe in the power of building developer focused products to unlock our next phase of growth in Commerce and Payments. We are seeking a talented Senior Technical Product Manager passionate about building best in class payment experiences. In this role you will be responsible for enhancing the PayPal JavaScript SDK that enable merchants to offer PayPal and other payment methods.

The Merchant Integrations team is responsible for enabling merchants to offer various payment choices to their buyers at checkout. We design products keeping in mind the needs of merchants and their developers and offer the best and simplest integration possible.

You will work with the Developer Community, Global Professional Services, Sales and Integration Engineering to define and deliver world-class experiences for customers globally

Your day to day

In this role you will:

  • Will be responsible to enhance the PayPal's JavaScript SDK to enable credit or debit card as a payment method.

  • Prioritize and maintain a balance between on-going maintenance/bugs, new feature requests and a need to keep client-side integrations simple & flexible and continuously evolving with changes in technology and competitor landscape

  • Do competitive analysis to inform areas of improvement or trends that we can learn from

  • Gain an “outside-in” perspective by speaking with a cross-section of developers and/or internal client facing teams with a goal to build a case to continuously evolve the client interfaces

  • Provide the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall product strategy

  • Participate in regular cadences (stand up’s, retrospective, planning meeting) and be engaged with the team throughout the product life cycle.

  • Engage with teams (Sales, Marketing, Professional Services) across PayPal to help Pilot and Launch enhancements / improvements with a goal towards improving adoption

What you need to bring

  • 5+ years of Product Management or other relevant experience managing either REST APIs and/ Web SDK Experienced managing technology focused products (SaaS, APIs, SDKs, Infrastructure, Platform) in an Agile SCRUM environment at scale

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related tools and frameworks, such as Node.js, HTML and CSS.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience (developers, product managers and senior business leaders)

  • Bonus: Experience managing products that are externalized via APIs and/or SDKs•

  • We welcome experienced engineers, solution engineers, architects, professional services and others with experience in APIs and/or SDKs looking to switch career into Product Management

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$84500 to $204600
