Our motive is to develop innovative action games set in iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™.
Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man™ action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield™.
We believe in sharing our passion with our community and each other, fostering an inclusive culture, and nurturing a growth mindset.
Although our approach may seem simple, it leads us to create the best work of our careers, bringing unique and immersive experiences to our players.
We are looking for a Senior Weapon Artist, External Development to help us build realistic weapons and vehicles, inspire incredible artwork, contribute to defining our production techniques and maintain budgets while always being focused on the highest quality execution. Reporting to the Content Production Manager, the Senior ExDev Artist is a practical artist, inspired not only by the games industry but as a subject matter expert in art production with a passion for working with teams to create something greater than they could by themselves.
Responsibilities:
Support external artists by teaching, briefing and reviewing assets through written feedback and direct conversation, helping them reach quality.
While your main focus is on supporting external partners, you will also spend some of your time creating assets to keep your skills and workflow knowledge sharp.
Individual ownership and responsibility are important to us. You will own your own part of the backlog, planning and delegating tasks to your external collaborators.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience from a game title with a realistic looking art direction for weapons, working in some capacity with external partners.
Knowledge in modern hard surface asset workflows, including asset production process, modeling and PBR texturing.
An interest in supporting others, prioritizing nurturing talent in others instead of solving the issue for them.
Experience in managing a backlog, working with estimates and planning your time.
Being self-motivated with an ability to manage their workload through planning and delegation without direction.
Deep knowledge of art production process with an interest in collaborating with stakeholders to improve the way we work.
