As a Software Engineer II, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs. You will work on problems of moderate scope, requiring analysis of situations or data. You will be responsible for determining hardware compatibility, developing corrective actions, and may conduct feasibility studies. You will write code, complete programming, perform testing and debugging, and complete documentation. You will also interface with users to define system requirements and perform engineering tasks. This role requires a degree in Computer Science and 2-5 years of experience, with a professional working proficiency in English.

Job Summary

The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.  Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. 
  • Develops and recommends corrective actions. 
  • May conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs.
  • Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming language and technologies. 
  • Completes documentation and procedures. 
  • May interface with users to define system requirements. 
  • Performs engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. 
  • Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.  
  • Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigation, surveys, structures or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Requires a degree in Computer Science and 2 – 5 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience with working knowledge of software capabilities.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.  

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Expert knowledge of C#, .NET, and WPF

Compensation

Hourly range for this position is: $51 to $56.97 per hour.

The base pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
