What you’ll achieve

As a Software Quality Engineer you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.

You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle

• Guide and participate in design, development, unit testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported

• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues

• Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with developers to advocate for best testing practices.

• Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership

• Document test cases, defects, and quality metrics to track software stability over time.

• Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features

Essential Requirements

• Ability to learn new tools and practices with some training and on-the-job experience

• Hands-on experience in manual testing, including Functional, UI, Regression, and exploratory testing for web or enterprise applications.

• Experience in web application automation using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver/Playwright/ Cypress

• Experience working with Agile collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence

• Knowledge of generic quality principles and tools

• Ability to design, build, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation for structured validation of application functionality

• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player with effective oral and written communication skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development

• Ability to identify risks and provide gap analysis to relevant stakeholders

• Nice to have: Experience using Linux/Unix environments

• Familiarity with API testing (RestAssured) and performance testing tools (JMeter) is a plus.

• Experience with AI tools to streamline daily testing activities
