Job Description

The Solution Support Engineer-II will be responsible for supporting the full stack of Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and hosted web-based applications. They will assist with the operations and stability of the environments, drive incidents to resolution, implement and monitor key platform solutions, and perform solution testing and change management. This role involves incident investigation and resolution related to the solution, as well as OEM Support L2 & L3 of the solution. The engineer will work closely with product development, product management, and sales/pre-sales teams.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, Kubernetes, RedHat Linux and AWS.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, OpenAM).
  • Working knowledge of relational database systems – MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of LDAP design, implementation, and networking.
  • Experience with administering multi-platform operating system environments (Windows and LINUX).
  • Experience with ITIL standards and technologies (ServiceNow).
Good to have:
  • Scripting/programming experience in Puppet, Powershell, PERL, .NET, Python or UNIX Shell.

What You’ll Contribute

  • As a generalist, support the full stack of Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and hosted web-based applications.

  • Assist with the operations and stability of the environments in accordance with established procedures and best practices, while contributing to continuous improvement within those processes and procedures.

  • Drive incidents to resolution during scheduled upgrade activities and tasks.

  • Implement, monitor, refresh, and perform tasks on select/key Platform solutions.

  • Solution Deployment and Promotion.

  • Solution Technical Regression Testing (post upgrade).

  • Solution Technical Performance Validation/Testing/Sizing (post-upgrade).

  • Solution Change Management (deployments, patches, upgrades).

  • Solution Monitoring (setup and alerting from solution, bureaus).

  • Solution Incident Investigation and Resolution.

  • Solution related OEM Support L2 & L3 of the Solution.

What We’re Seeking

  • Ambitious and self-driven individual with proven experience working platform, SaaS, and component solutions.

  • Mandatory 3+ years of experience with Java, Kubernetes, RedHat Linux and AWS

  • Knowledge of web technologies (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, OpenAM).  Outsystems a plus.
