Job Description

JioCinema seeks an iOS/Apple TV developer with 4.5-7 years of experience. Must have expertise in Swift/Objective-C, iOS Frameworks, MVVM, and multi-threaded programming. Experience with REST APIs, unit testing, and agile frameworks is essential.

Our engineering team defines the technical architecture and drives itself to build systems that serve billions of requests per day, cosmic scales of video content streamed every day, with ultra-low latency design and high reliability. We make sure every byte of video content gets to millions of viewers, at the highest quality possible. We are growing fast and looking for talented Engineers who are up for one of the biggest yet outcomes in the video streaming business as we gun to be the primary destination for digital first entertainment in India and make JioCinema accessible to every Indian.

What you will do:

Architect, build, and maintain new and existing features for iOS and/or Apple TV applications

Design and implement resilient streaming mechanisms to ensure seamless playback under high-concurrency scenarios

Collaborate with the design team to ensure the application aligns with the latest design guidelines and provides an intuitive user experience

Regularly profile application performance and optimize for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability

Troubleshoot and resolve streaming bottlenecks, ensuring an uninterrupted streaming experience for end-users

Integrate with backend services to provide real-time content updates and user functionalities

Adapt applications to various screen sizes, resolutions, and device capabilities

Design and implement rigorous unit and integration tests

Coordinate with QA teams for end-to-end testing, ensuring optimal performance on actual devices under real-world conditions

Keep up-to-date with Apple's latest development frameworks, guidelines, and features

Proactively research emerging technologies and techniques that can enhance the platform's performance and capabilities

Who should apply:

iOS Engineers with 4.5 to 7 years of experience in iOS app development using Swift or objective C

Engineers with working experience in Swift or Objective C, iOS Frameworks, various architecture patterns, OOPs concepts, MVVM etc

Experienced with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, UIKit etc

Hands on experience in multi-threaded programming and good knowledge of networking concepts along with enhancing profiling apps

Hands-on with the tools like Git Bitbucket, JIRA, or Confluence

Experience of accessing data as JSON/ XML using REST APIs

Good to be experienced on SwiftUI, Swift Package Manager, SwiftLint

Knowledge of iOS design patterns and best practices

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills along with strong communication and collaboration abilities

Experience with writing unit tests and testable code. Familiar with iOS unit test

framework

Experience working within an agile framework, preferably Scrum
