We're looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our ZDX team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the development of our large-scale distributed platform by leveraging Java technology stack, Streaming, event-driven architecture, and NoSQL databases.
- Developing and implement best engineering practices to optimize team productivity and delivery timelines.
- Discussing with product managers, UX designers, and other backend teams to understand requirements and translate the same into functional specifications
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years experience in Core Java, Concurrency, Distributed Computing and Scalable web services
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for all stakeholder management including but not limited to business, product, and operations.
- Experience using batch and stream processing frameworks like Spark/Kafka Streaming, Spring batch or equivalent
- Metrics-driven development experience and experience using metrics systems like Grafana, Prometheus, etc
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Ability to write code that can perform efficiently in a big data setup
- Experience with big-data technologies like Spark, Redshift, etc.
- Strong knowledge of various DBMS systems including NoSQL architectures and design principles
