Job Description

Google is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Android, Dialer to build a robust and resilient foundation for phone calling experience in the Android operating system. You will collaborate with teams across Android, mentor and guide team members, and facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. You will also advance Google's core AI capabilities across important phone calling use cases. This role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
7 years of experience with Android application development
5 years of experience with design and architecture
5 years of experience with testing/launching software products
Experience with data structures/algorithms

Good to have:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
Understanding of AI principles, algorithms, and techniques

Minimum qualifications:

7 years of experience with Android application development.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
