As a Staff Software Engineer, you will work on high-impact projects for Google Workspace, influencing and coaching a team of engineers. You'll manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional projects

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
