Your New Role…

As the Technical Advertising Operations Manager you will serve as the primary point of contact for all ad tech-related inquiries and support, playing a crucial role in troubleshooting and integrating new setups across our digital platforms. Your expertise will be key in supporting diverse advertising needs to maximize revenue and strengthen client relationships. This role involves overseeing daily operations across multiple regions, including EMEA, APAC and LATAM, ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of ad technologies within the WBD portfolio of websites and apps.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and advertising, driving innovation and ensuring the seamless execution of ad campaigns across global markets.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Ad Tech Troubleshooting and Support: Actively monitor, diagnose, and resolve ad-related issues across various platforms to ensure minimal disruption to advertising operations.
  • Regional Ad Serving Support: Provide technical ad serving support for teams operating across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, ensuring consistent service quality.
  • Documentation and Process Optimization: Maintain and update comprehensive documentation, including integration processes and technical runbooks to streamline operations and enhance team efficiency.
  • Platform Optimization: Identify and address inefficiencies within our platforms, continuously improving system performance and user experience.
  • Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate emerging ad technologies and provide insights and technical support for the setup and integration of new products.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced debugging tools such as SPLUNK, EAT, OpenSearch, and Kibana to troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Data Accuracy and Integration: Collaborate with analysts and developers to ensure accurate data capture and integration, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, product, ad sales, and tech teams to implement new technologies and resolve any technical challenges.
  • Ad Policy Management: Oversee and manage AdPolicy to ensure effective communication between video endpoints and the ad server, optimizing ad delivery.
  • Client Integration and API Management: Set up and manage API connections with clients for order management, video IVI ingestion, and other integrations.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Industry Experience: experience in the media industry or online advertising, with a strong understanding of ad operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using debugging tools such as SPLUNK, EAT, OpenSearch, and Kibana.
  • Ad Serving Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ad-serving technologies and systems, including GAM and FreeWheel.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with a curious mindset and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
