UX Copywriter

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We are currently seeking a UX Copywriter to join the in-house agency team for our financial services client in Westwood, MA. This is a 6-month contract opportunity offering a pay rate of $70 - $75/hr (DOE), with a hybrid work model allowing up to 4 days per week on-site.

Opportunity Overview:

As a UX Copywriter, you’ll craft and refine digital experiences across multiple platforms, ensuring they align with the brand’s voice and personality. You’ll work closely with designers, researchers, and product teams to create content that enhances the user experience, while also helping develop copy style guidelines and UX writing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a variety of content, including microcopy (buttons, error messages, tooltips), product copy, in-product marketing materials, and transactional notifications.
• Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, and product teams to optimize user experiences and drive engagement.
• Identify and prioritize content needs, improving team workflows and efficiency.
• Present recent projects and successes in team meetings to share insights and results.
• Partner with UX researchers to test and refine copy based on user feedback and insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UX writing, content strategy, technical writing, or customer-facing documentation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX-focused work, problem-solving skills, and customer impact.
• Proven ability to create compelling content across web, mobile, and email platforms in the financial services industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.
• Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and researchers in an iterative design process.
• Knowledge of UX writing for complex workflows and software products.
• Experience analyzing customer feedback and conducting usability research to enhance content.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
