V+/Mainframes Developer (CMS and FAS Modules)

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a skilled V+/Mainframes Developer with expertise in CMS and FAS modules to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and unit testing mainframe applications, providing technical guidance to junior team members, and ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders. Your contributions will enhance the efficiency and reliability of our systems, supporting Synechron's business objectives.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Proficiency in V+/Mainframes development
  • Strong knowledge and experience with CMS and FAS modules
  • Familiarity with mainframe tools and technologies

• Preferred:

  • Experience with additional mainframe programming languages or tools

Overall Responsibilities

• Independently perform development and unit testing of mainframe applications.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Conduct walk-throughs with customers and internal teams to discuss development and design activities.
• Serve as a backup to the team lead during their absence.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Experience Requirements

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and test mainframe applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior team members, offering technical support and guidance.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs with customers and internal teams to align on development and design goals.
• Act as a lead backup, managing team activities and deliverables in the lead's absence.
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in V+/Mainframes development with a focus on CMS and FAS modules.
