Marvell Design advanced transceivers consist of broad-band channel equalization circuitries. Our DSP based Clock-Data-Recovery solutions consists of 10s of GHz ADC/DAC and employ Marvell's innovative technologies to address the extreme challenges in low-jitter clock generation and distribution. The results of these innovative work enable Marvell to produce the world’s first single-chip 100Gb/s (2x50G) PAM4 DSP transceiver (2015), world’s first single-chip 200Gb/s (4x50G) DSP based PAM4 transceiver (2018) and world’s first single-chip 400Gbps (4x100G) in advanced CMOS nodes.

What You Can Expect

As an Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing transceivers with multi-tens of GHz analog or DSP equalization capabilities.

You will:

  • Contribute to the development of high-speed transceivers.

  • Utilize proven experience in IC design, including chip tape-out and lab evaluation (gained during graduate studies or industry experience).

  • Perform analog custom layout and use EDA CAD tools effectively.

  • Measure IC performance and debug designs to ensure simulation results align with measurements.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3-5 years of related professional experience.

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.

  • Solid understanding of detailed transistor-level design, device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.

  • Strong team player with excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

  • Direct project experience in at least one of the following areas is a plus:

    • ADC-DAC design

    • PLL or clock/frequency generation design

    • RF/High-Speed (10GHz+) issues

  • Knowledge and experience in Verilog coding are advantageous.

  • Experience with package-system integration issues is desired.

  • Project experience using advanced CMOS nodes (FinFET experience is a plus).
