Hong Kong Disneyland is seeking a skilled and passionate Artist / Painter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in surface preparation, paint mixing and application, and participating in large-scale overhaul paint projects. Responsibilities include carrying out surface preparation (rust removal, cleaning, spot repair, putty work, sanding), paint mixing and application on various materials in Attractions ride areas, show sets, figures, ride vehicles, props or Disney characters, participating in large-scale overhaul paint projects, daily maintenance and inspection work, maintaining workspace cleanliness, and reporting work progress to the supervisor. This position offers a HKD$6,000 Special Welcome Reward upon successful completion of 6 months of continuous employment. Shift duties and working at height are required.
Must have:
  • Certificate in Design/Visual Arts/ Fine Art OR recognized apprenticeship in painting OR equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Shift duties are required
  • Working at height is required
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated passion in arts & painting
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong sense of responsibility
  • The ability to work independently and flexibly
Good to have:
  • Experience in color matching
  • Brush & roll
  • Spray painting and decorative painting
  • Automotive bodywork

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out surface (including rust removal, cleaning, spot repair, putty work & sanding etc), paint mixing & application on various materials in the Attractions ride areas, show sets, figures, ride vehicles, props or Disney characters.
  • Participate in large scale overhaul paint projects, daily maintenance and inspection work on the mentioned areas
  • Workspace housekeeping, record & report work progress timely to supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Design/ Visual Arts/ Fine Art OR recognized apprenticeship in painting OR equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Shift duties are required
  • Working at height is required
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated passion in arts & painting, good interpersonal and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and flexibly.
