As an Azure Solution Sales Specialist, you'll lead a virtual team to drive digital transformation through cloud computing, exceeding quarterly Azure consumption targets. You'll engage with senior decision-makers, build compelling business cases, and manage projects from inception to production. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Azure expertise, building customer relationships, influencing strategic direction, and acting as a trusted advisor. You'll help customers evaluate cloud strategies, plan application and data migrations, and recommend solutions. This role demands strong technical expertise, executive presence, and a passion for Azure cloud services.

As part of our transformation, one of our key areas of focus is the modernization of Business Applications and CRM solutions. The Digital Insides Sales organization is a newly formed organization with a charter to accelerate Microsoft’s growth in its cloud-first, mobile-first businesses along with the traditional businesses. This organization is at the forefront of establishing a new sales model leveraging modern technology and big data and analytics to drive impactful demand response and targeted sales coverage.   

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in technology-related sales, consulting or account management experience
  • Proven experience with building strategic transformation roadmaps, solution selling in infrastructure, HCI, DC migration, VDI, security. Experience for Commercial customers is preferable. Having experience with application development tracks, AI and data innovation is considered a plus, however not a must. 
  • Leadership. Experience leading large IT/Cloud engagements, especially those involving cross-solution workloads including infrastructure, data migration and application modernization projects
  • Azure Infrastructure and Security Services. Understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud platform with emphasis on Microsoft Infra services, hybrid cloud technologies, developer tools and services and/or complementing solutions.
  • Consumption Project Management. Experience leveraging cloud adoption methodologies and frameworks to structure application migration projects - nice to have
  • Prior work experience in a Consulting/Solutions Sales position working with Infra solutions ranging from IaaS, VMware, VDI, NW, SAP, Hybrid Cloud and Security solutions
  • Competitive Landscape. Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and cloud and datacenter infrastructure competitor landscape e.g., AWS and GCP, among others

 

Responsibilities

As an Azure Solution Sales Specialist, you are a business leader with technical expertise working with our most important managed customers.

You will lead a virtual team of sales, technical, and services resources to help customers realize digital transformation through cloud computing achieve/exceed quarterly Azure consumption targets for related workloads in your assigned accounts.

 

You possess both a high EQ with executive presence, able to engage with senior decision makers to uncover digital transformation initiatives, and a passion to learning how Azure cloud services can deliver digital transformation.

You will develop and maintain an Azure  expertise, able to identify projects, build a compelling business case, and drive the consumption project to production.

You will build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor driving engagement at the CXO level with technology decision makers.

You will help customers evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration and modernization, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements.
