Xsolla seeks a highly skilled Backend Engineer to plan, create, develop, and implement backend services, frontend applications, documentation, SDKs, and tools for the XBE platform. Responsibilities include maintaining backend services and shared libraries, collaborating with Integration and DevOps teams on feature development and bug resolution, improving developer experience with tools and infrastructure, and handling XBE platform deployments to Kubernetes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience with microservice architecture, relational/NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, HTTP REST APIs, NodeJS, ReactJS, and Javascript/Typescript. Excellent documentation and communication skills are essential.

Job Details
The role of Backend Engineer is designed for a highly skilled and experienced fullstack developer responsible for the planning, creation, development, and implementation of backend services, frontend applications, documentation, software development kits, and tools for the XBE platform. As a part of Xsolla, you will work on innovative solutions that power game developers and publishers, helping them achieve success in the gaming industry. You will collaborate closely with integration and DevOps engineers to handle incoming customer feature requests and bugs, ensuring that the XBE platform delivers seamless, reliable services to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Documentation of backend services, tools, sample projects, tutorials and white papers
- Maintain backend services and shared libraries.
- Work with Integration team to develop features and resolve bugs
- Work with DevOps team to improve developer experience with tools and infrastructure
- Work with DevOps team to help handle deployments of XBE platform to K8s.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years experience working with micro-service architecture
- Minimum 5 years experience working with relational and/or NoSQL database
- Knowledge of Kubernetes including containerization, pods, ingresses and other k8s concepts
- Experience with HTTP REST APIs
- Knowledge of NodeJS and ReactJS
- Proficient with Javascript/Typescript
- Experience with MongoDB
- Excellent documentation and communication habits
- Knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine
- Experience developing games for PC and mobile platforms
- Experience shipping titles on console platforms
- Previous experience working with game studios or other backend as a service companies
