Job description


Join our team as a Combat Designer/Technical Designer, where you will play a crucial role in bringing our game designs to life. Your primary focus will be on the hands-on execution of game design elements within the Unity engine.


Responsibilities

  • Build strong collaborative relationships across departments, fostering teamwork and shared goals.
  • Lead efforts to enhance workflows, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine workflows and implement tool changes.
  • Promptly diagnose, debug, and resolve content issues to maintain game integrity.
  • Contribute to gameplay system design.
  • Provide technical support to designers, aiding in problem-solving and implementation challenges.


Qualifications


  • Solid experience with Unity and a deep understanding of its tools and capabilities, including proficiency in scripting with C# or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail in game design and implementation, particularly in balancing gameplay elements such as combat mechanics, character abilities, and numerical values.
  • Ability to work efficiently under guidance and deliver tasks on schedule, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and programmers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design workflows across various game editors.
  • Proficiency in crafting detailed design documents for both tools and game systems.
  • Passion for gaming and a keen interest in game development, demonstrated through previous work experience or personal projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in balancing numbers and combat mechanics within game environments. This includes adjusting parameters such as character abilities, damage values, cooldowns, and other gameplay variables to ensure a balanced and engaging experience for players.
  • Familiarity with Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) and/or Action Role-Playing Game (ARPG) genres is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of the unique gameplay mechanics, strategies, and player expectations associated with MOBA and ARPG games, allowing for informed decision-making during the game development process.
