Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be vital in expanding the company by identifying and developing new business prospects. You will support Sales and Marketing by researching leads, contacting potential clients, and setting up qualified meetings to initiate new partnerships. You will become proficient in the company's offerings and comprehend market dynamics to capture interest and secure product demos.
Must have:
  • Develop understanding of the automotive HR tech market
  • Identify and document prospect needs and existing systems
  • Qualify leads via cold calls, email campaigns, social media, and inquiries
  • Maintain a structured and up-to-date pipeline using Hubspot CRM
  • Initiate contact with potential clients and present tailored solutions
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition based on client pain points
  • Work with the sales team to coordinate qualified demo bookings
  • Analyze industry trends, competitors, and client behaviors to refine outreach
  • Share market insights with Sales and Marketing to optimize strategy
Good to have:

  • Software implementation experience
  • Bilingual (English and French) candidates

Location: London, ON | Hybrid (Minimum 2-3 days/week in office)

Job Summary:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving the company’s growth by uncovering and developing new business opportunities. This position supports Sales and Marketing by researching prospects, initiating client outreach, and setting up qualified meetings that fuel new partnerships.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need grit, focus, and a strong sense of ownership. You'll become an expert in the company's offerings, understand market dynamics, and stay attuned to customer pain points—ultimately sparking interest and securing product demos.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Develop a deep understanding of the automotive HR tech market.

  • Identify and document prospect needs and existing systems.

  • Qualify leads via cold calls, email campaigns, social media, and inbound inquiries.

  • Maintain a structured and up-to-date pipeline using Hubspot CRM.

Client Outreach & Engagement

  • Initiate contact with potential clients and present tailored solutions.

  • Communicate the company’s value proposition based on client pain points.

  • Work closely with the sales team to coordinate qualified demo bookings.

Market Research

  • Analyze industry trends, competitors, and client behaviors to fine-tune outreach.

  • Share market insights with Sales and Marketing to optimize strategy.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with leadership to ensure smooth handoff of leads through the pipeline.

  • Relay client feedback to Marketing and Product teams.

  • Contribute actively in team meetings, training, and strategic discussions.

  • Share regular progress updates with key stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Motivated, goal-driven, and enthusiastic about personal development.

  • Experience with CRM tools (Hubspot) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Quick to grasp new software and technical concepts.

Education & Experience:

  • Sales experience in a client-facing role required; HR industry experience is a bonus.

  • Software implementation experience is an asset.

  • Bilingual (English and French) candidates will be strongly considered.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to support client success.
