Job Title: Computer Vision Engineer

Location: Norcross, GA

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Computer Vision Engineer specializing in structured-light based measurement systems and 3D perception to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer vision, deep learning, and high-speed structured light profiling systems, with expertise in 3D object reconstruction, sensor fusion and calibration.

Responsibilities:

· Develop next-generation machine vision system with Python/C++.

· Design and implement advanced computer vision algorithms for high-speed outdoor structured light-based measurement systems

· Create robust solutions for sensor fusion, combining data from structured light-based systems with cameras

· Develop and optimize 3D reconstruction techniques for objects using structured light data

· Implement and improve algorithms for real-time processing of 3D data

· Develop and implement computer vision algorithms, both traditional image processing and deep learning, for accurate measurement and detection of objects using structured-light and camera-based systems.

· Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and high-speed processing.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and domain experts, to integrate computer vision solutions into our products.

· Conduct research to stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in developing 2D and 3D perception capabilities, with a focus on structured-light-based measurement systems

· Proficiency in MATLAB and strong skills in Python and/or C++ programming languages (10+ years experience)

· Experience with 3D vision libraries and tools (e.g., Point Cloud Library, Open3D)

· Expertise in processing and analyzing data from 3D data systems

· Experience with software development tools and libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.

· Experience with deep learning techniques applied to 3D point cloud data

· Solid understanding of structured-light measurement principles, including triangulation techniques

· Familiarity with challenges specific to outdoor, high-speed measurement scenarios (e.g., varying lighting conditions, motion compensation)

· Strong mathematical background, particularly in 3D geometry, signal processing, and optimization

· Knowledge of calibration techniques

· Strong understanding of traditional image processing techniques and algorithms.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$89,100.00-$126,900.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
