The Coordinator, Content Operations, plays a key role in improving the operational efficiency of Netflix France’s content team. This enables executives to focus more on achieving creative excellence across Series, Films, Nonfiction, and Licensing titles.

This is a high-impact role that acts as an operational bridge between the creative team and cross-functional internal partners. The ideal candidate brings top-tier organisational skills and a knack for creating clarity in complex workflows. While not a creative position, editorial competence is highly valued, as it contributes to better-informed decision-making and alignment with content needs.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

Project Management & Tracking

  • Project and Process Oversight: Oversee projects, processes, and the flow of information across series, films, nonfiction, and licensing teams to guarantee successful execution and delivery. Support various cross-functional tasks and ensure a consistent and efficient workflow within the content organisation by proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, implementing best practices, and maintaining open communication channels.

  • Team Support: Facilitate seamless communication and knowledge-sharing among the four content teams to foster collaboration and synergy. Regularly attend functional team meetings and syncs to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and strategies.

  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of strategy slides for decks and maintain the internal Project tracker: project statuses, timelines, and key milestones

  • Launch Date Management: Support the VP in organising launch dates and supervise possible development launch dates to optimise release schedules and maximise audience engagement.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Finance: Ensure accurate control of materials approved by the content team.

  • Legal: Effectively manage title clearances

  • CPS&O: Supervise predictions to enable effective planning and resource allocation. Collaborate with CPS&O to refine launch strategies and optimise release schedules.

  • FP&A: Regularly update the FP&A team on launch dates and inform them of any scheduling changes to facilitate accurate financial forecasting and budgeting. Proactively communicate any potential impacts on revenue or expenses.

  • Marketing & Publicity: Maintain communication for important project milestones, industry-related events and address slate challenges.

  • Production: Share timely updates on upcoming projects with the production team and coordinate production timelines to ensure smooth and efficient execution. Proactively identify and address any potential production challenges, and work to maintain alignment between content and production strategies.

EMEA Books & IP Leadership

  • IP & Book Tracker: Manage and update the IP & Book tracker, ensuring accurate and timely information on potential intellectual property (IP) and book adaptations. Coordinate with directors to identify IPs of interest and follow the adaptation process from acquisition to development.

Film and Series Commissioning

  • Slate Management: Monitor and create pages for new projects, ensuring that all relevant information is captured and tracked. Collaborate with creative assistants to keep information updated and accurate.

  • Memo Processes: Support content executives in the creation of necessary memos, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and well-structured. Manage the distribution of memos to relevant stakeholders, and track approvals and feedback.

  • Title and Talent Approvals: Manage the title clearance process, ensuring that titles are available and do not conflict with existing trademarks or copyrights.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Proven Experience in the Media Industry: A solid background in content production or media operations, with a deep understanding of production timelines, workflows, and industry dynamics.

  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to build and manage efficient workflows, track multiple moving parts, and drive clarity and structure across complex projects.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Skilled at working across diverse teams, departments, and stakeholder levels—ensuring seamless communication, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing.

  • Strong Project Management Abilities: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of juggling several projects and timelines simultaneously without losing sight of the big picture.

  • Editorial Sensibility: While the role is not creative, an editorial mindset is a strong plus—supporting better context, judgment, and alignment with content teams.

  • Tool Fluency: Experience working with project management and content tracking tools is an advantage. Google Suite and Airtable are preferred, and mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.

  • Culture Champion: A genuine connection to and enthusiasm for the Netflix culture—thriving in a high-performance environment that values curiosity, courage, inclusion, and freedom with responsibility. Learn more about our values here.
