Job Description

Manage and lead the Sportsbook team at Easygo, a rapidly growing Australian iGaming company. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing a team of analysts and assistants, developing operational processes, creating reports, handling escalations (risk, limits, settlements), and managing team rosters. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including international offices. Candidates should possess strong analytical, communication, and people-management skills, along with extensive experience in the bookmaking industry.

You’ll be calling the shots, managing a team of Sportsbooks Analysts is run like a well-drilled title-winning side.

Your role with us:

You are the boss, and you'll work closely with both our Head of Sportsbook and Director of Sportsbook to work towards delivering our Sportsbook strategy. Your role will see you managing a team of Sportsbook Analysts and Assistants to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our sportsbook. You’ll be responsible for the general management of the Sportsbook product, creating the processes, reports and tasks that are used by the team day-to-day in analysis and reporting of the Sportsbook product. You’ll also be seen as a go-to figure within the team for escalations and advice on all things risk, limits and settlements.

Further, you’ll be directly responsible for the management of people within the team. With multiple direct reports under your remit, you’ll be a part of their development and goals. This people management will extend to the defining of day-to-day task lists, as well as the creation of rosters based on operational requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Management of direct reports within the sportsbook team. Comprising both Analysts and Assistants, you’ll be managing people directly – having a hand in their development and goals.
  • Escalation point. As a Manager, you’ll have the authority to action escalations, both internal and external from match settlements, to VIP requests or reporting site issues,  to name only a few examples.
  • Coordinate department workflows. You’ll be responsible for driving the daily schedule and tasks within the team and coordinating weekly meetings, whilst also overseeing  said tasks to provide feedback where needed.
  • Develop operational processes. Based on trend analysis and reporting, you’ll be creating and defining new processes and tasks to be used day-to-day; not just in our  Melbourne office, but by our International teams around the globe, all based on data  and operational requirements.
  • Roster management. Furthering the above, you’ll also be responsible for developing rosters for the team to ensure appropriate staffing throughout the week based on  operational needs
  • Lead the training of new team members. When new team members join the Sportsbook, you’ll be a big part of their early training and development in terms of how to perform tasks and what’s expected of them
  • Global collaboration. You’ll not only work closely with the other Managers and Analysts in our Melbourne office, but also with Stake’s International offices, EG Serbian  Sportsbook and CS teams. Regular updates and operational calls with those functions  - in addition to future teams across the globe - will be an important part of your role
  • Third-party account management. You’ll be part of operational calls with third-party partners of Easygo, analysing data in advance and creating action points upon conclusion to be followed up within the team.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years experience in the bookmaking industry, preferably with experience managing direct reports
  • A passion and interest for both sports and betting
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work a rota of shifts flexible to the business requirements.
  • Ability to work any 5 of the 7 days, which will include shifts between hours of 07:00 - 21:00
  • A positive mindset when faced with challenging requirements and situations.
  • An ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external service providers, agencies, vendors, associations, and other external facing organisations.

Bonus points if:

  • Knowledge and interest in cryptocurrencies
  • Knowledge of Sports and/or Casino terminology.
  • Responsible Gaming experience.
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom
