Job Description

The Data Analyst at Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile will support insight initiatives for the BI team. This role involves turning data into actionable insights through research and analysis to drive decisions for user acquisition, retention, and monetization. The analyst will work with game teams to provide insights into user behavior, support AB test design and analysis, carry out machine learning projects for behavioral segmentation and monetization, and effectively communicate results to stakeholders. This role requires debugging, problem-solving, and staying updated on the latest technologies.
Must have:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python.
  • Experience with cloud-based big data solutions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Agile philosophies and project management tools.
  • Software engineering skills, including CI/CD and Git.
  • Self-motivation, organization skills and team spirit.
  • Passion for games, especially mobile F2P games.

Job Description

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE

Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile is currently seeking a Data Analyst to help our team on their next adventure. The Data Analyst will support insight initiatives for our BI team. This person will report to the Live Producer. Your daily adventure:

  • Turning data into actionable insights, by performing hands-on research, data exploration and analysis, to drive decisions and strategies for user acquisition, retention, and monetization. 
  • Work with the game teams to provide insights into user behaviour, answer key business questions and support in AB test design and analysis. 
  • Carry out projects on machine learning for behavioural segmentation and monetization. 
  • Debugging and problem-solving issues to ensure the delivery of accurate and clear analysis, reports and tools. 
  • Effectively communicate results and insights to senior stakeholders throughout the organization. 
  • Coordinate, challenge and share the best analytical practices and methods within the organization. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Machine Learning technologies and Data Science trends. 
  • Contribute to the knowledge base and culture of the team. 

Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science...). PhD in any of these disciplines is a plus. 
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in similar positions, ideally in mobile gaming industry. 
  • Highly proficient in SQL as well as Python for data exploratory analysis 
  • Experience with cloud-based big data solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery.
  • Solid knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Microstrategy, etc. 
  • Robust understanding of advanced statistics suitable for analysis of skewed populations. 
  • Experience designing effective ways of communicating, visualising and reporting results/analysis. 
  • Experience in predictive analytics and segmentation.  
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to details. 
  • Work permit for Spain obtained prior to applying for the position is a must.

  • Possibility for new parents to work from home 80% of the time. 

  • Flex working schedule: 40hrs per week with start time between 8 AM – 10 AM and leave from 5 PM (Friday from 2 PM).
