Job Description

The Data Analytics Sales Specialist at Google Cloud will build customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to manage complex sales cycles and influence long-term account strategy. This role requires exceeding sales quotas and achieving strategic growth goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) to develop go-to-market strategies and drive pipeline growth. Responsibilities include developing analytics solution roadmaps, understanding complex customer requirements, and managing multiple opportunities simultaneously. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of customer technology footprints and strategies and experience selling data analytics solutions.
Must have:
  • 10+ years enterprise software/cloud sales experience
  • Data analytics solution sales expertise
  • Exceeding sales quotas and achieving growth goals
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Developing solution roadmaps with customers
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Good to have:
  • Experience supporting long-term executive relationships
  • Developing territories/accounts from scratch
  • Prioritizing, planning, and organizing sales activity
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience selling Data Analytics technology solutions to clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience carrying and exceeding strategic business goals in a sales role.
  • Experience supporting long-term executive relationships, and developing territories/accounts from scratch, while ensuring customer success, adoption and expansion.
  • Experience prioritizing, planning, and organizing solution-based sales activity within complex business cycles, including qualifying high value accounts and leveraging our partner ecosystem.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, communication, presentation and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing complex business cycles, identifying solution use cases, and influencing long-term strategic direction of accounts.
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting your territory’s business.
  • Work with Google accounts and cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to develop go-to-market strategies, drive pipeline and business growth, close agreements, understand the customer, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Develop analytics solution roadmaps with customers, understanding their unique and complex requirements on a business and technical level. 
  • Work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understanding each customer’s technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, competitors, and how they can transform their business using our technologies.
