Job Description

The Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Public Sector at Google Cloud will focus on Malaysian public sector accounts. This role involves building C-level executive relationships, negotiating complex deals, leading account strategy, collaborating with internal teams and Google Partners, and understanding customer technology and business drivers. The FSR will drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve sales goals by guiding customers through the entire sales cycle. Responsibilities include managing complex business cycles, presenting to C-level executives and government ministers, and advocating Google Cloud's solutions to enhance public organizational productivity and collaboration.
Must have:
  • 10+ years quota-carrying cloud/software sales or B2B account management experience
  • Public sector market experience in Malaysia
  • C-level executive relationship building
  • Complex deal negotiation
  • Account strategy leadership
Good to have:
  • Large, complex commercial/legal negotiation experience
  • Experience promoting Google Cloud to large organizations
  • Cross-organizational collaboration skills
  • Executive-level influence
  • Technical concept simplification for diverse audiences

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience working with the public sector market across Malaysia

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with large, complex commercial and legal negotiations working with procurement, legal, and business teams.
  • Experience promoting Google Cloud computing technologies to large and complex organizations across geographies
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
  • Ability to present analyses and break down technical concepts into simple terms to present to diverse, technical, and non-technical audiences.

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Public Sector, you will be working with our Public Sector accounts related to different public entities across Malaysia. You will leverage experience engaging with C-level executives to build on existing relationships, establish relationships in new areas, and act as a business partner in understanding our customer's issues and goals. You will advocate the innovative power of our products and solutions to make public organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers and leverage existing CxO relationships to help us grow into new areas of the public sector space.
  • Negotiate and manage end-to-end complex business-cycles, often presenting to C-level executives and ministers in the government sector.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers, and Google Partners.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, tactical growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy and external landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business-cycle.
