Job Description

As a Data Cloud Consultant, you'll work directly with Google's strategic customers on infrastructure projects transforming their businesses. You'll provide consulting, program management, and technical expertise, collaborating with client executives and technical leaders to deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Responsibilities include managing successful cloud solution implementations, proposing solution architectures, deploying cloud-based infrastructure, working with internal teams to share best practices, managing project scope and timelines, and interacting with sales, partners, and customer stakeholders. The role requires fluent English and Spanish communication to support local stakeholders, and approximately 30% travel for client engagements.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years in project management & solution delivery
5+ years designing data pipelines & dimensional data modeling
Big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) experience
Database management systems (SQL, Apache) experience
Fluent English and Spanish communication

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
Cloud certification
Kubernetes, GKE, or EKS experience
Software development experience
Experience managing large-scale Windows or Linux environments
Networking and system design experience
Customer-facing migration experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in project management and technical solution delivery.
5 years of experience designing data pipelines, and dimensional data modeling for synch and asynch system integration and implementation using internal (e.g., Flume, etc.) and external stacks (DataFlow, Spark, etc.).
Experience using big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and database management systems (e.g. SQL, Apache).
Ability to travel 30% of the time, as needed, for client engagements.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support local stakeholders in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Hold a Cloud certification and experience with Kubernetes, GKE, or EKS.
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: software development, managing large scale Windows or Linux environments, network design and deployment, databases, storage systems.
Experience with networking and system design of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN in architecting, developing and maintaining production-grade systems.
Customer-facing migration experience, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
Communication, writing, presentation, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud solutions becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud based distributed virtualized infrastructure solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices.
Work with internal specialists, Product, and Engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
Interact with Sales, Partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.
