This role involves leading the installation, configuration, and management of ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem components, including ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Responsibilities include setting up and configuring ArcGIS Server, Data Store, Image Server, Geoprocessing Server, and Web Adaptor, ensuring optimization for performance, security, and scalability. The role also requires implementing high availability architecture, hosting GIS infrastructure on Azure Cloud, and configuring security measures like SSO and SSL. Furthermore, it includes installing and configuring supporting tools, applying DevOps practices for automation, working within Agile frameworks, and managing changes to the GIS environment. The role also involves developing and deploying web-based and mobile-based ESRI apps, and maintaining a strong understanding of geospatial techniques.

Primary Skills

  • Install and Configure ESRI ArcGIS Ecosystem: Lead the installation and configuration of ESRI ArcGIS Pro 10.9.1, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Ensure seamless integration with the Spatial Database Engine (SDE) and manage the migration of enterprise GIS services to the new environment.

  • Deploy and Manage ArcGIS Enterprise Components: Set up and configure key ArcGIS Enterprise components including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS Geoprocessing Server, and ArcGIS Web Adaptor. Ensure these components are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

  • Cloud and High Availability Architecture: Implement high availability (HA) architecture using load balancers and failover mechanisms. Host and manage the GIS infrastructure on Azure Cloud, ensuring reliability and business continuity.

  • Security and Integration Configuration: Configure SSO, SSL, and security tokens to ensure secure access to GIS services. Set up Webmaps and Web Services in alignment with enterprise security and usability standards.

  • Tooling and Automation: Install and configure supporting tools such as FME (Feature Management Engine), ESRI Data Interoperability (DI), ArcPy (Python for ArcGIS), and DI Extensions. Apply DevOps practices for patch deployment and system automation.

  • Agile Delivery and Change Management: Work within Agile and Scrum frameworks to deliver iterative improvements. Follow change management processes to ensure controlled and documented updates to the GIS environment.

Secondary Skills

  • Ensure compliance with ESRI licensing requirements.
  • Develop and deploy web-based and mobile-based ESRI configurable apps (e.g., WebApp Builder, Experience Builder).
  • Maintain a strong understanding of geospatial issues and techniques.
  • Experience with configuring the ArcGIS Utility Network (UN) model is a plus.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, to support collaboration and documentation.
