Job Description

Tesla seeks a Desktop Support Technician in Amsterdam for a temporary (one-year max) role. Responsibilities include preparing and shipping hardware for new hires across EMEA, managing IT stock, troubleshooting workstation issues, providing in-person and remote support for laptops, software, VOIP phones, smartphones, tablets, and printers. The role requires experience with ticketing systems, mobile device support (iOS, Android), Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Apple OS X, VOIP systems, network troubleshooting, and Active Directory. Occasional weekend, after-hours, and on-call work, as well as EMEA travel, may be required.
Must have:
  • 2+ years IT support experience
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Proficiency in supporting mobile devices and MS Office
  • Experience with VOIP and Active Directory
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

The Role: 

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In this role, you will mainly prepare and ship hardware for new hires throughout the EMEA region and manage our IT stock. You will also troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to workstations and help our userbase both in-person in Amsterdam and remotely. This is considered as a temporary position, with a maximum duration of one year

What You’ll Do
  • Install, prepare and ship hardware for new-hires across the EMEA-region
  • Provide daily technical support for laptops, software applications, VOIP phones, smartphones, tablets, printers, and other computer hardware
  • Oversee IT stock management, ensuring adequate supplies, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist in organizing and prioritizing technical projects to meet deadlines
  • Be available for occasional weekend work, after-hours support, and on-call duties as needed
  • Travel to other locations in EMEA as necessary
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education/training
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in global or international organizations
  • Experience with ticketing systems for managing technical requests and issues
  • Proficiency in supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android), Microsoft Windows, MS Office, and Apple OS X
  • Experience with VOIP systems, network troubleshooting, and Active Directory

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong ability to manage IT stock and maintain vendor relationships
  • Ability to manage IT stock effectively, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are readily available
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
