Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following start dates below:

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain the machine learning system and platform, including training, inference, pipeline orchestration, to support all ByteDance products;
2. Build large scale systems for ML integrating with GPU, RDMA network and storage system;
3. Enrich the end to end machine learning experience, and provide machine learning resources for all the ByteDance products.
Qualifications
1. Seeking PHD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2. Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Go/Python
3. Strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style;
4. Good communication, self-motivation, engineering practice, documentation, etc.
5. Have a strong sense of responsibility, good learning ability, communication skills and self-drive, able to respond and act quickly
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience contributing to large scale systems, multi-tenant systems (architecture, reliability and scaling)
2. Experience contributing to GPU architecture, GPU cluster;
3. Familiar with major Machine Learning framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
4. Familiar with Kubernetes / Kubeflow / YARN / Mesos orchestrations;

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description Intern (hourly)The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $57- $57. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.
Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.
