Job Description & Summary
PwC Poland’s Digital& - Application Development team comprises 130 people. We are responsible for IT projects for Polish and international clients. The number of tasks we undertake is extensive: from design, building and implementation, through preparation of functional specifications and analysis of data in source systems, to the definition of business requirements, support in testing and development of mobile applications. The department provides IT consulting services, mainly to financial institutions from Poland and abroad.
We are looking for:
DevOps Engineer / Consultant
Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure (ci/cd pipeline implementation)
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Working with PowerShell, Linux Shell, testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
Strong and comprehensive knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
Knowledge how to maintain and deploy applications on Kubernetes (Helm, Ingress)
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python will be an additional advantage
Expert knowledge on delivering scalable, resilient and automated builds in local and cloud environments using Azure DevOps or any modern CI/CD tools
Expertise and practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code approach (Terraform is preferred)
Detailed knowledge and experience in working with networking components, protocols and security (e.g. Subnets, Firewalls, Routing, DNS, http, TLS/SSL, etc.)
Knowledge on patching and vulnerabilities remediation processes and frameworks
Expert knowledge on patching and upgrading of different platforms (security vulnerabilities like SSL and TLS shortcomings, certificates and cipher strengths)
Knowledge of patch & vulnerability management (including automation of these processes).
Understanding vulnerability scanning using tools like Veracode, Gradar, Qualys or Similar
Practical experience with Azure (preferred), AWS or Google Cloud
Knowledge of scripts to automate day-to-day tasks
Experience: 2-3 years
Knowledge of German at least B2/C1 level
Interesting and ambitious projects - no routine or repeatability of activities
Flexible working hours
Possibility to take part in international projects
Occasionally work remotely
