DevOps Engineer (Platform Team)

Job Overview

We are looking for the DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps Platform Team and become the reliable one in keeping the Operations and Services running smoothly and safe. Working in our team will bring you to the new level of experience – together we will create and run optimization volumes, create solutions for stable and reliable Maintenance services and environment.

We are responsible for CI/CD services, monitoring system, artifacts storage, docker orchestrators etc. We offer you the greatest opportunity to become our excellent and reliable teammate and show-up with high responsibility for incidents' resolution, consultancy on the production environment, automation of deployments and configuration, and similar regular operations. Our DevOps team helps to maintain the sustainability of global distribution and operation of all Wargaming studios and connect us to our 100 million+ audience.

What will you do?

• Create and improve CI/CD processes

• Deploy and monitor infrastructure and apps in public cloud and self-hosted infrastructure

• Develop and perfect scripts, and deployment and operation processes for the infrastructure and web apps

• Participate in designing solutions utilizing cloud services for the project’s needs

• Deploy new monitoring tools and improve the existing ones, cutting costs

What are we looking for?

• Proven knowledge of Docker

• Mastery of Python/bash

• Proven knowledge of Linux, and experience administering it

• Experience with complex, multi-component web apps

• Experience with configuration managements systems and IaC tools (Puppet/Fabric/Ansible/Terraform)

• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies, and experience with the tools (Jenkins)

• Experience with Redis/PostgreSQL/Nginx/ELK/Prometheus

• Problem analysis skills, ability to locate bottlenecks

• Attentive, responsible, able to take decisions promptly

• Well-developed communicative skill

• Intermediate or higher level of English and Russian

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Strong foundation with relational database technologies (MySQL/PostgreSQL/etc) and their performance tuning

• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

• Experience with public clouds: GCE, AWS, Azure, etc.

• Experience with Kubernetes/Nomad/Istio

• Experience with RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/Consul/Kafka
