Job Description

As the head of the Human Resources function, the Director of HR will be responsible for leading and developing strategic HR initiatives that align with the overall business goals and company culture. This role oversees all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development across a global workforce. The Director of HR serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and plays a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving a high-performance culture. The Director of HR will provide leadership, high energy, and visible ownership of the global HR function, act as a strategic partner to the executive team, develop and implement global HR strategies, oversee talent management, employee engagement & relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with all applicable labor laws and regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do, solution-oriented approach.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience globally
  • Proven experience leading HR in a dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills
Good to have:
  • Master’s or MBA preferred
  • Professional HR certification
  • Prior experience with technology organizations

Job Description:
As the head of the Human Resources function, the Director of HR will be responsible for leading and developing strategic HR initiatives that align with the overall business goals and company culture. This role oversees all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development across a global workforce. The Director of HR serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and plays a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving a high-performance culture.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership 
    • Provide leadership, high energy, and visible ownership of the global HR function across the entire company
    • Act as a strategic partner to the executive team on workforce planning, change management, and organizational development.
    • Develop and implement global HR strategies that support organizational objectives and foster a strong company culture.
  • Talent Management 
    • Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
    • Lead succession planning and career development programs to support the leadership pipeline.
  • Employee Engagement & Relations 
    • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and strong internal communications.
    • Address employee relations issues proactively and ensure effective resolution in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
    • Oversee training programs that enhance employee skills, promote leadership development, and support continuous learning.
  • Performance Management 
    • Drive the performance review process and support leaders in setting clear goals, providing feedback, and managing performance effectively.
    • Ensure clarity of roles & responsibilities and facilitate the use of the performance management system. Devise clear career tracks for employees
  • Compensation & Benefits 
    • Manage the design and administration of compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity.
  • Policy & Compliance 
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
    • Lead audits and risk mitigation strategies as needed.
  • HR Operations & Systems 
    • Optimize HR systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.
    • Leverage HR analytics to inform decisions and measure HR effectiveness.
  • Other HR Process & related areas 
    • Oversee the global payroll program
    • Identify and advise on opportunities, risks, and trends related to people’s aspects of mergers & acquisitions (M&A) while developing action plans to address.
 Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience on a global basis, including at least 4-5 years at the Senior Manager or Director level
  • Proven experience leading HR in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do, solution-oriented approach
  • Prior experience with technology organizations is preferred
  • Global travel will be required
    Annual Base Pay Range (USD): $150,000-$200,000
     
    The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The expected annual pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
