Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager – U.S. Government will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders across federal, state, and local government entities, and driving pipeline growth through strategic engagement and partnerships. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, navigating procurement processes and aligning solutions with agency missions.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across U.S. federal, state, and local government customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency stakeholders, procurement officers, and industry partners.
  • Develop a deep understanding of agency missions, pain points, and procurement vehicles to shape targeted value propositions.
  • Lead the development of proposals, white papers, RFI/RFP responses, and strategic presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., technical, legal, operations, marketing) to develop compliant and compelling government-facing solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and government briefings.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, reporting, and CRM documentation.
  • Stay informed of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), trends, and competitive intelligence.
 
Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales to U.S. government agencies.
  • Demonstrated success securing new contracts or expanding existing government accounts.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement cycles, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQ, GWAC), and budget timelines.
  • Experience selling technology, software, or mission-critical solutions preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, if required.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Government, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP a plus.

Annual Base Pay Range (USD): $100,000 - $150,000
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The expected annual pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
