Summary

PGA is seeking a driven and experienced Drainage Group Leader to lead and grow our drainage team in the greater Orlando region. As a key member of the team, you will oversee multiple drainage projects, provide technical expertise, manage resources, and foster client relationships. You will be responsible for directing and mentoring junior staff, leading internal training programs, and contributing to the strategic growth of the drainage group.
Must have:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of progressively complex engineering experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and assign work
  • Leadership qualities and ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients

Purpose & Need

Patel, Greene & Associates (PGA) is looking to hire a leader.  Our drainage engineers and designers preserve communities, prevent irreversible flooding damage, and improve safety through innovative design.  With PGA's Drainage Group growing rapidly, we're seeking a driven and creative technical professional to guide its continued success in the greater Orlando region.  This individual will not only represent PGA as a reliable subject matter expert and project manager but will also foster and maintain long-term client relationships that will expand our market presence and support PGA's strategic growth goals.  Backed by a Drainage Group Manager with over 17 years of experience, you'll work together to direct resources and lead drainage design and QC efforts for our projects.  Come take a major step forward in your career as you help drive PGA forward! 

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple drainage projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the drainage discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Direct drainage group resources in primary office to produce a quality product
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Lead internal training programs
  • Assist in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA drainage group
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Direct and mentor junior staff 

What You’ll Need

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10 and 20 years of progressively complex engineering experience is preferred

  • Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work as well as meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
  • Leadership qualities reflected in the quality of work and coordination with colleagues and clients
