Job Description

The Editorial Projects Manager at Everyday Health Group manages the workflow of articles submitted for medical review. Key responsibilities include assigning articles, onboarding and managing medical reviewers, resolving workflow issues, providing training and feedback, assisting with editorial review, maintaining resource documents, and contributing to other editorial projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management and communication skills, 7+ years of digital editing/editorial project management experience (preferably with a health/wellness brand), excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with project management software (AirTable preferred). The role requires experience editing consumer health content, working with medical professionals, managing freelancers, and working within a CMS. Strong editorial judgment is essential.

About the Role
Everyday Health Group (EHG) is looking for an Editorial Projects Manager with a passion for health and wellness to help manage the workflow of articles sent to our Medical Review Team. Ensuring our content is accurate and contains the latest medical research and evidence-based health best practices is core to our mission to empower and inspire people to live their healthiest lives every day.
The applicant should have strong project management and communication skills to shepherd content through workflows. They should also have experience editing and top editing.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Assign articles for medical review and ensure work is completed in a timely manner, reassigning and addressing questions as needed.
  • Research and onboard new medical reviewers.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with existing Medical Review members.
  • Resolve workflow issues with health care professionals and editors 
  • Provide training and feedback to reviewers 
  • Assist with editorial review of articles.
  • Assist with other editorial and project management tasks as needed.
  • Maintain and update health care professional bios and internal resource documents.
About You  
  • 7+ years of digital editing and/or editorial project management, including experience with an online Health, Wellness, News and/or Lifestyle brand
  • Strong background in consumer health content, including educational and e-commerce content
  • Strong organizational ability, good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines 
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Familiarity with project management software (AirTable preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience editing in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with medical professionals 
  • Experience recruiting and managing freelancers 
  • Experience working in a CMS
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or related field
