Atlassian Engineer
Job Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Jira Developer & Administrator with hands-on experience in Atlassian tools, migrations, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines. This role involves engineering and maintaining the existing Strategic Jira, Confluence and Crowd instances both at the Infra level (On-Prem Data Centre) and also very actively work on consolidations of various Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) instances residing in various outside networks both Data Centre and SaaS instances.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage end-to-end Jira/Confluence migrations (Cloud ↔ On-Prem, Data Center ↔ Strategic Instances)
• Perform data conflict resolution, data cleansing, and ensure data integrity between source and target instances
• Automate processes wherever possible to optimize performance and accuracy during migrations and administration
• Design, configure, and maintain custom workflows, fields, schemes, dashboards, and reports in Jira
• Build and maintain scripts, plugins, or apps using ScriptRunner or similar tools for advanced Jira/Confluence customization
• Collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate Jira with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Strong understanding of user and project permissions, security schemes, and Space configurations in Confluence
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and YAML-based pipelines for DevOps workflows and tool integrations
• Perform routine backups, upgrades, and health checks of Jira/Confluence instances
• Troubleshoot performance issues and provide resolution in a timely manner
• Document best practices, standards, and governance processes in Confluence

Must-Have Qualifications:
• Proven expertise in Jira & Confluence Administration
• Solid hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence migrations and data transformation
• Good scripting knowledge using ScriptRunner, Groovy, REST APIs, or similar
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud (Azure AD, Azure DevOps, resource groups, etc.)
• CI/CD tooling expertise with tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps, or any YAML-driven pipelines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency with Linux OS and system administration.
• Good experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab CI, etc.).
• Very good knowledge in Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code.

Good to Have Qualifications:
• Experience with Atlassian Access, Insight (Asset Management), or other Atlassian marketplace apps
• Understanding of Agile practices, ITSM processes, and project management
• Good working experience of Servicenow forms and integrating with downstream applications like Gitlab etc.,
• Certifications like ACP-100 (Jira Admin) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
