As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. With your extensive technical expertise you take initiative to independently design and implement new systems, designing, implementing, and testing multiple features with little or no direction from tech lead or manager. You collaborate with key stakeholders to determine future direction of work.

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is a managed, production-ready environment for deploying containerized applications. GKE Access Platform empowers GKE users through a unified and secure access experience, simplifying authentication, authorization, and connectivity across GKE, OSS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystems. You will be working with security leaders at Google, at OSS partners, and in the community to help shape the direction of the industry, to solve how to make container technology secure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
