Job Description

This role, Expert Regulatory BI/DWH Business Investigator (Dual Mode), involves partnering with business and IT to understand processes and analytics needs. Responsibilities include defining business requirements, writing functional specifications, and implementing solutions to improve key metrics and customer experience. The position uses an agile methodology and requires designing and testing BI solutions using databases, data warehouses, ETLs, SQL, reports, and dashboards. Analyzing business requirements' impact on IT systems and documenting solutions using tools like Confluence and Jira are crucial. A strong testing strategy to meet acceptance criteria is also required. The role is based in Bucharest, Romania.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, Business, or equivalent
3+ years Oracle database experience (DataWarehouse experience preferred)
Medium SQL/PL SQL knowledge (analysis and debugging)
1+ year banking experience, risk reporting experience recommended
3+ years IT project implementation experience
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
Understanding of BI/DWH architecture
Agile methodology experience

Project description

The credit area for integrating digital streams on the current data model of the DataWarehouse
Data for Regulatory Division / Analysis Chapter

Responsibilities

Partner with Business and other IT Solution Architects to gain a deep understanding of the business processes and analytics requirements;

Responsible for business requirements, write functional specifications, file feed specifications and implement solutions that drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results;

Participate in an agile methodology to promote a disciplined process and faster adaptation;

Translate business requirements into technical design solution;

Responsible for designing and testing BI solutions that involve databases, data warehouses, ETLs, SQL queries, reports, and dashboards;

Analyse the business requirements and their impact on the IT systems;

Document & deliver the solutions using collaborative tools (e.g. Confluence & Jira) and meeting internal quality standards;

Build and execute the testing strategy in order to fulfill the acceptance criteria.

Skills

Must have

a bachelor's degree or qualifications in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study;

minimum 3 years of experience on Oracle databases, ideally experience on DataWarehouse as a technical analyst or data modeler

medium SQL/PL SQL knowledge, not necessarily at programming/coding level, but for analyzing and debugging PLSQL packages, reading triggers, procedures, packages, functions, to have modeling/solution design skills in collaboration with the project architect;

minimum 1 year of experience in the banking field

experience in the area of risk reporting is recommended

minimum 3 years of experience in the implementation of IT projects

good analytical thinking, able to understand the requirement regardless of the business area

able to understand a BI/DWH architecture in terms of modeling/design, data integration and reporting requirements

advanced soft skills
