Position Summary & Responsibilities:
This position is to provide solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain current customer business, while developing and strengthening customer relationships that result in customer loyalty and positive referrals. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure customers receive prompt, accurate and professional support to further their business needs. The Field Application Specialist I promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, and creates an enthusiastic, positive work environment.
This is a field based position supporting part of the frontier territory covering New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming with the ideal candidate being located in or around the Denver, CO area. Candidates must reside within the territory or be willing to relocate. Extensive field travel is required - average 65-80% overnight stays.
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux’s Quality System.
- Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
- Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams.
- Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
- Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
- Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned, and/or as business needs dictate.
Education, Skills, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, technical, or life science field
- 1+ years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent.
- bioMérieux product experience preferred.
- ASCP or MLT certifications preferred
- Molecular or Microbiology experience is preferred
- Laboratory Information System, or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
- Experience with guidelines with CLIA regulations and/or additional laboratory credentialing agencies preferred.
- Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
The estimated salary range for this role based in the Denver, CO area is between $78,000 and $95,000 annually. This role is eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
