The Finance Associate at Scopely will provide financial and analytical support for corporate functions, partnering with leaders in People, Publishing, Marketing, etc. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, monthly reporting, headcount planning, and deep financial analysis to align with company goals. The role involves decision support, process improvement in reporting, and collaboration with Corporate Finance and Accounting. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience, proficiency in Oracle, Adaptive, and Workday, and strong analytical and presentation skills. A passion for mobile games is a plus.

Scopely is looking for a Finance Associate to join our Finance team in Culver City on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do 
The primary responsibilities of the Finance Associate will be providing financial and analytical support for all of the Company’s central corporate functions. You will partner with functional leaders in the People Org., Publishing, Marketing, among others. Projects will include budgeting and forecasting, monthly reporting, headcount planning, along with allocations. This individual will perform deep and thorough financial analysis, helping to ensure alignment between the company’s financial goals and strategic ambitions of these organizations.
This individual will provide budgeting and decision support for the Company’s central corporate functions, partner closely with Accounting to execute on reporting process improvements and continuously evolve Scopely’s internal and external reporting capabilities.
  • Partner with leaders throughout the organization, providing financial and analytic insights within a matrixed structure that lead these organizations to deliver on their strategic business outcomes.
  • Own the entire budgeting/forecasting process for these organizations (quarterly forecasting, monthly reporting vs. actuals, headcount planning and approvals).
  • Execute ad hoc analysis providing quantitative, data-driven decision making recommendations and support; improve processes and implement recurring reports to assist business needs. 
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and Accounting to drive process improvements as it relates to the Company’s reporting and financial analysis capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Experience with Oracle, Adaptive, and Workday
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required
  • Strong modeling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve with minimal oversight.
  • Passionate about games, especially of the mobile variety.
  • Strong English language skills are required for this role as we have a highly diverse and global business.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment.
  • Start-up, investment banking or strategic consulting experience.
For candidates in CA, CO, MD, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $98,600 - $121,800, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
