Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience designing hyper-casual or hybrid-casual mobile games.
• Proven portfolio of successful mobile game projects, showcasing your design thinking and creativity.
• Strong understanding of game mechanics, engagement loops, and player behavior in mobile games.
• Experience creating and maintaining Game Design Documents (GDD) with clear communication of gameplay mechanics and features.
• Ability to design simple, accessible, and highly engaging game mechanics that align with hyper-casual or hybrid-casual genres.
• Strong creative vision, with an ability to iterate based on feedback from testing, stakeholders, and data analytics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
• No technical skills required, but a good understanding of how design is implemented within a development team.
• Passionate about mobile gaming, with a keen awareness of market trends and new opportunities within the hyper-casual and hybrid-casual space.
Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and design innovative and engaging hyper-casual and hybrid-casual mobile games that appeal to a broad audience.
• Create clear and detailed Game Design Documents (GDD) outlining mechanics, features, and game flow for the development team.
• Collaborate with product managers, artists, and developers to ensure smooth communication and execution of game concepts.
• Analyze and incorporate market trends to develop new ideas and refine existing ones to maximize user engagement and retention.
• Provide feedback on the gameplay experience, balancing, and pacing to ensure a fun and cohesive user experience.
• Regularly review and iterate on game designs based on player feedback, data insights, and testing results.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality prototypes and playable versions of games by maintaining a structured and organized approach.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure game ideas are executed effectively.
• Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, maintaining a player-centric design approach.
