Front-end Engineer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We are currently looking to hire a Front-end Engineer for one of the largest integrated, not-for-profit healthcare organizations in the U.S. This is a fully remote, 12-month contract opportunity where you’ll work alongside a dynamic team to develop cutting-edge, Cloud First front-end applications.

In this exciting opportunity, you’ll join the Software Development team to create and enhance innovative front-end applications in a cloud-based environment. Your contributions will help shape data-centric clinical and analytic applications that leverage state-of-the-art technology, including cloud computing, big data, machine learning, and mobile technologies. You will be instrumental in developing resilient micro-services, ensuring scalability and accuracy, and working with a collaborative team to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build cloud-based front-end applications and microservices to support the organization’s portfolio of clinical and analytic tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, platform, and solutions teams, to meet client and patient needs.
• Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient code.
• Develop services and applications that leverage data warehousing, big data, business intelligence, and machine learning.
• Participate in Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration/deployment frameworks.
• Program using high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, and more.
• Manage deployment automation and configuration management using tools like ADO, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Azure Pipelines, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, code, and best practices.
• Engage in expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of professional experience working with Angular.
• Strong experience with Cypress for testing and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in using Docker for containerization.
• Familiarity with other relevant front-end technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Active Professional Cloud Developer Certification is a plus.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
