The Opportunity

A career in Funds Services offers a dynamic opportunity in the Funds and Asset Management sector, working with funds regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and international clients. As part of our specialist Fund Administration team, you will have the opportunity to manage clients' accounting records, perform Net Asset Value calculations, handle investor communications, and complete regulatory reporting for CySEC and the Central Bank of Cyprus. Additionally, you'll also prepare interim and year-end financial statements, while collaborating with experienced professionals in the PwC network and receiving ongoing coaching to enhance your skills. Your  responsibilities 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our PwC Fund Services team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Complete periodic and regulatory reports for the authorised and registered fund/management entities. 
• Complete the funds’ year-end financial statements, and unaudited interim management accounts under IFRS, as these are prepared via Auto financials’ (Caseware) specialized funds module. 
• Contribute to the process of liaising with auditors to provide appropriate documentation and information as requested to complete audits of fund clients.
• Contribute towards the completion of the process of maintaining complete, accurate and up-to-date accounting books and records for several clients as these are recorded into a specialized fund accounting/administration software. 
• Contribute towards the completion of the process of preparing funds’ Net Asset Value computations. 
• Contribute towards the completion of the process of handling/facilitating of Investors transactions including the collection and processing of Know Your Customer/AML documentation and overall undertaking of Investors’ Due Diligence processing.
• Liaise with the fund managers, investors, bankers, depositary’s, auditors and other service providers to the funds where and if possible and as you progress/develop in the role. 
• Ensure pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently, in close collaboration with assigned reviewers/supervisors. 
• Take on additional responsibilities and handle other fund administration related tasks and any other ad-hoc duties that might be required from time to time (e.g. internal and external product development initiatives).
• Cooperate with colleagues from within the PwC network and external associates in completion of clients’ needs. 
• Keep track and perform against internal risk compliance procedures (e.g. Client & Engagement Acceptance & Continuance) to avoid any discrepancies/non-compliance.  

What You Bring

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Trainee or qualified ACA or ACCA with a background in audit or accounting, including familiarity with financial statements and financial data analysis.
• At least 1-2 years of proven experience in accounting or auditing is required.
• Strong numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Prior experience working with accounting software(s) and software(s) for preparation of financial statements will be a benefit
• Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast paced dynamic environment, with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to learn quickly
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight and frequent deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
