About the position

As the Game Programming Intern, you will play a key role in developing new updates to our existing games as well as developing new games on the Roblox Platform. Working on the Roblox Platform and in a small team for each game will give you a lot of creative freedom, this means that you will be able to define the player experience a lot and also you will get to work on every part of the game, from UI-code and gameplay logic to server code.

Starting date: Depending on your internship period

Reporting to: Managing Director, Malaysia

Location: Malaysia, working 100% remote from home, company time zone MYT. Option for hybrid/in-office work at our Selangor/Johor office. Discord and Slack are your best friends!

Work time: Full time - 40 hours a week

Responsibilities

  • Develop user-friendly and visually appealing Roblox Game using Roblox Studio

  • Collaborate with the game development team to build and implement new features, and optimize existing ones

  • Ensure the game application’s design and functionality align with our business goals and technical requirements

  • Continuously improve the game development process and share your knowledge with the rest of the team

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest roblox game development trends and technologies


Who you are

  • Experience with programming in the C-family (Unity Engine/Unreal Engine) and/or LUA (Roblox Studio)

  • Fresh graduate or completing higher vocational education in professional game development and/or other bachelor degree or higher within software engineering

  • Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken. Malay or Mandarin are a plus, but not required as our working language is English

  • Love for games

  • Located in Malaysia
