Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking enterprising individuals for their Graduate & Internship Program for 2025 in Queensland. This program aims to connect with students through internships as a first step to securing graduate engineers. The company values real experience and mentoring to build confidence and industry knowledge. The scholarship offers a $10,000 award and a paid internship for promising Engineering undergraduates. Internships provide real-life insight into consulting engineering, working alongside senior engineers on various projects, attending site inspections, industry events, and undertaking training. Internships can be 12 weeks full-time over summer or part-time during a semester. Successful applicants receive mentoring and attend Colliers events. Applications close on July 27, 2025.

Job Description

Applications are now open for the Colliers Scholarship and Colliers Internship opportunities across Australia including WA, VIC, QLD, and NSW. 

Early connections with students via internships are the first step to securing our graduate engineers as part of the Colliers Engineering & Design Graduate Program. Early career development is a fundamental part of our culture at Colliers. We know the value of real experience and mentoring to build confidence and gain industry knowledge. Internships set up our Graduates for success on their commencement.

Scholarship

This initiative offers a promising Engineering undergraduate the opportunity to be recognised for academic achievement with an engineering scholarship ($10,000) and an offer for a paid internship within our leading engineering consultancy.

The Colliers Engineering Scholarship supports you in achieving your academic goals, whilst providing mentoring to help you launch your career and prepare for success.

Internship

In addition to our scholarship, we offer a number of internships in WA, NT, VIC, QLD and NSW. Apply for the scholarship, the internship or both and select which technical stream you are studying or interested in, with up to two options per application. Civil, surveying and structural engineering are a few examples.

Our placements offer a real-life insight into consulting engineering. You’ll work alongside senior engineers on a variety of projects, attending site inspections, networking at industry events, and undertaking training.

The internship timing and duration will be suitable for individuals and may include 12 weeks over summer vacation fulltime, 2 days per week for a semester etc.

You will quickly become a valued member of the team, receiving mentoring from experienced engineers and attending Colliers events throughout the year.

Please ensure the following documentation is attached to your application:

  • 500 word statement highlighting your passion for engineering and reasons for suitability for the scholarship, internship or both.
  • Detailed CV including previous vacation work/internship details, year 12 ATAR (including subjects and exam marks or equivalent) extracurricular interests, achievements, awards, scholarships etc.
  • Formal university academic transcript from Year 1 to current semester.
  • References including one academic, employer and or character reference desirable but not essential.

Terms and Conditions

  • Be a Permanent Resident of Australia or student visa holder with working rights.
  • It is a requirement of that an academic transcript, CV and statement be supplied as part of the application. An incomplete application will not be considered.
  • You are asked to nominate prizes recognising academic merit for specific units and current or previous scholarships held that might affect your ability to participate in an internship or scholarship with Colliers.
  • Whilst one of the aims is to provide an employment opportunity to the successful applicants, there is no binding or other commitment from either party with regard to employment with Colliers after graduation.

Additional Terms for Scholarship

  • The scholarship is a 1-year tenure, paid in 4 equal instalments in March, May, July and September. Payments will be adjusted for students completing their studies mid-year. 1 scholarship per Australian state listed.
  • An optional paid internship is offered as part of the scholarship.
  • The scholarship may be withdrawn should you defer full time studies, transfer to another course/degree or University.

State Specific Terms

WA: The scholarship is open to Civil engineering students in their penultimate year of a Bachelor degree, first year of Masters, or PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Western Australia (UWA). The internship is best suited to students in their penultimate year, however we encourage everyone to apply.

VIC, QLD and NSW: no specific terms.
