The International Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the month-end close process for international entities and ensuring statutory compliance across various jurisdictions. This includes reviewing and approving entries, preparing journal entries, reviewing flux analysis, working with external auditors, managing external service providers, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. The role involves mentoring a team of two accountants and collaborating with various teams within the organization. The candidate should have experience in managing month-end close, IFRS and/or USGAAP, and working with external auditors. The role requires working from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
Must have:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
  • Experience managing month-end close process.
  • IFRS and/or USGAAP experience.
  • Experience working with external auditors.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
  • High energy level and hands-on approach.
Good to have:
  • Experience working on Irish, UK, US, Australian, or Indian audit engagements.
  • Blackline experience.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a fun, experienced and collaborative International Accounting Manager for a 12-month period, to cover maternity leave.  This role will report to the Director of Accounting and Finance in Dublin and will support our international accounting function.The role is wide-ranging.  It will encompass managing the month-end close process for our international entities, along with managing statutory compliance across various jurisdictions. We do not expect anyone to have all the answers, but you should have the ability to figure out how to find them efficiently, whether independently or collaboratively, as the situation requires.

What you’ll be working on

  • Managing the month-end close process, including reviewing and approving entries and making sure all deadlines are met on a continuous monthly basis
  • Mentoring a team of two accountants and collaborate closely on a daily basis
  • Preparing and approving detailed journal entries and account analyses
  • Reviewing and consolidating monthly flux analysis reporting
  • Working with external auditors on worldwide audits and local filings. This will involve leading audits internally and working cross-functionally to ensure all deliverables are provided on a timely basis.
  • Managing relationships with external service providers
  • Ensuring compliance with our internal controls and assisting in the continuous review of internal processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting with special finance and operational projects as requested by US finance team or local Dublin office.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).   
  • 8-10 years of progressive post-qualified accounting experience including:
  • Experience managing and leading the month-end close process
  • IFRS and/or USGAAP experience
  • Experience working with external auditors. Experience working on Irish, UK, US, Australian, or Indian audit engagements a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various different teams within the organization.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar cloud-based accounting software applications
  • Blackline experience is a plus
  • High energy level, with a demonstrable hands-on approach.
