Job Description
BeReal seeks an iOS Engineer with a product mindset to join a feature team. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and shipping new features using Swift and SwiftUI; contributing to app quality with clean, maintainable code; collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers; participating in technical discussions and code reviews; analyzing feature performance and user impact; and contributing to the iOS stack. The role involves building user-facing features to enhance meaningful connections on the BeReal platform.
Must have:

Role
We’re looking for an iOS Engineer with a product mindset to join one of our feature teams. You’ll be involved in building and refining new user-facing features that help people connect more meaningfully on BeReal. This is a great opportunity for someone with around who wants to grow quickly, contribute to a widely used app, and work alongside a passionate and experienced team.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and shipping new features using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Contributing to the overall quality of the app with clean, maintainable code.
- Collaborating with designers, product managers, backend engineers and data analysts to understand user needs and propose impactful solutions.
- Participating in technical discussions and code reviews.
- Analyzing the performance and user impact of the features you build.
- Learning from and contributing to a collaborative, innovation-driven mobile team.
- Contributing to innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI).

- iOS: Swift, Combine, SwiftUI, SPM, Swift Concurrency, MVVM
- Ops: Github.
- Android: Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, Room, gRPC.
- Backend: Go, Node.js (NestJS, Nx, Typescript).
- Database: Spanner, PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Firebase.
- Data: Amplitude, Tableau.
