El Ranchito has joined the international visual effects group The Pitch Black Company, to which the companies FuseFX, Folks and Rising Sun Pictures belong.

El Ranchito is currently looking for a Junior Sys Admin to join our team at our Madrid facility as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of applications and work equipment of the company.
  • Management and resolution of first-level incidents.
  • Deploy and maintenance of the software/hardware inventory.
  • Monitoring and review of licenses (use, expiration, renewal, etc.)
  • Document the necessary procedures to ensure proper communication and continuity in the department.
  • Review and maintain alerts to be able to track incidents and give a quick response.
  • Review and maintain scheduled tasks for proper operation.
  • Backups and restore.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of work experience.
  • Computer System Administration Professional Training (ASI or Asir) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux (Rocky, Fedora, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Knowledge of hardware, assembly, configuration, repair, and diagnosis of incidents.
  • Managing unattended/silent installation software (Ansible, AWX)
  • Event monitoring (Grafana)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols: LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN for support and resolution of user incidents.
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment
  • Curiosity and an aptitude to learn new applications
  • Ability to work in a team, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • English language skills. A minimum of B2 level in English is required.”

Plus:

  • Computer Engineer Degree
  • Knowledge of the VFX environment (Deadline, Maya, Nuke, Houdini, ...)
  • Knowledge of Virtualization Software (KVM, Hyper-V, VMWare)
  • Knowledge of some scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
  • Linux Certifications
